Frequently asked questions
What MotoFixer is, how the tiers work, and how to reach us.
What is MotoFixer?
MotoFixer is a technical reference for mechanics and DIY riders — fluid capacities, consumables, drivetrain specs, tire pressures, wear limits, service schedules, torque values, and more, compiled and cross-referenced from official manufacturer documentation and other technical sources so you don't have to dig through an 800-page PDF for one number.
Is MotoFixer free?
Yes. Fluid capacities, consumables, drivetrain and chain specs, tire pressures, brake fluid, wear limits, and the full service schedule are free for every bike in the library — no account, no time limit. MotoFixer Pro adds the deeper mechanic-level data.
How many motorcycles are supported?
130+ models and counting, spanning most major manufacturers. New bikes are added regularly — if yours isn't listed yet, you can request it directly from the app.
Where does the data come from, and how accurate is it?
Specs are compiled and cross-referenced from official manufacturer documentation and other technical reference sources for that bike, then organized into one searchable format. Values start out unverified — compiled but not yet double-checked — and get a green "Verified" badge once a mechanic has physically cross-checked them against the reference documentation or the bike itself.
What does the green "Verified" badge mean?
It means a mechanic has physically checked that spec against the reference documentation or the bike itself, not just compiled it. Bikes and individual specs without the badge are still independently compiled, just not re-checked yet.
Isn't this data copyrighted by the manufacturers?
MotoFixer is an independent, unaffiliated reference tool — not sponsored, endorsed, or authorized by any motorcycle manufacturer. Brand and model names are used only to identify which specs apply to which bike, and technical values like torque figures and capacities are factual data, compiled and cross-referenced independently rather than reproduced from any single source. See our Terms of Service for the full legal details.
My bike isn't listed — can I request it?
Yes. Tap the support icon in the top-left of the app, sign in, and use "Contact" to tell us the make, model, and year. There's no guarantee on timing, but every request is read.
I found a mistake in the data — how do I report it?
Tap the support icon in the top-left of the app, sign in, and pick "Missing torque" for a torque-spec issue or "Bug" for anything else. Include the bike and the specific value if you can — corrections get prioritized.
Do I need an account?
No — every free-tier spec is browsable with no account at all. You only need to sign in to save bikes to your garage, subscribe to Pro, or send a report/request.
Is there a mobile app?
Not a native iOS/Android app yet — MotoFixer works as an installable web app instead. Use "Add to Home Screen" from your browser (the install icon in the app header) to get an app-like icon and full-screen experience.
Is my payment safe?
Yes. Pro subscriptions are processed by Paddle, an established payment provider that acts as merchant of record for the transaction — MotoFixer never sees or stores your card details. See the refund policy for cancellation details.
Do you sell or share my data?
No. See the privacy policy for the full details on what's collected and how it's used.
